Evolve Group is looking for Financiers and a strategic partner, an engineering and construction contractor (EPC PLUS FINANCE CONTRATOR) who will carry out the detailed engineering design of three 20 story, 275 Bed capacity, 5 Star Hotel projects, procure all the equipment and materials necessary, and then construct to deliver a functioning facility or asset to their client (“Government”). Projects are being undertaken in collaboration with the Government of Zambia. Lease to be discussed by EPC Contractor, Evolve Group and Government. Location: 2 Hotel Projects in Lusaka (Capital City) and 1 Hotel Project in Livingstone (Tourist Capital). Land: Provided by Government. Contracting Arrangement: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (“EPC”) Plus Finance. Luunde Agro Enterprises (LAE) owner of 1,000 Hectare piece of land is looking for a Financier and / or an equity partner to finance the set up a food processing factory. Zambia requires 4m tones of cassava per year to meet requirements from the Mining, Breweries and other sectors. Location: Nchelenge, Zambia Land: 1,000 Hectares available Wanted: Financier and/or Equity Partner plus Finance Wanted: (1) A modern cassava starch factory; and (2) Fruit processing and bottling & canning plant. Invitation for Expressions of Interest: Scaling Solar Zambia Project – Round 2. CGM Power Group SPV set to pursue energy and power generation projects in Zambia seeks an international financier and equity partner for a solar power project in Zambia. The Government of Zambia has invited private sector parties to submit expressions of interest for participation in Round 2 Scaling Solar Zambia. This is the second round of the Scaling Solar Zambia program for a total of 600MW of Utility Scaling Solar Photo Voltaic (PV). Following the first successful tender for up to 100 Megawatts (MW), Round 2 will be for 150MW - 250MW, with Round 3 for the remaining 250MW - 350MW to be announced shortly thereafter. Receiving of Expressions of Interest close on Friday 24th March 2017. Energy: The government aims to increase reliance on the private sector, in order to boost Zambia’s struggling energy supply. Six new power plants are currently at various stages of development. Collectively, they will add 1730mw to the grid, mostly by private producers. Total generation in the country will almost triple, though most are several years from completion.

Angola Zambia Refined Oil Products & Gas Pipeline, AZOP The Zambian Government has approved a private sector driven oil pipeline development to run from Angola to Zambia. The implementation of the Angola Zambia Oil Pipeline (AZOP) Project will also benefit from the Zambian Government’s plan to also acquire equity in the Lobito Refinery (Angola) for purposes of supporting supplies to Zambia and the DRC via AZOP. Development & Construction of a 1400km refined petroleum products pipeline to transport, circa, 100,000bpd from the new SonaRef refinery at Lobito currently under construction to Lusaka, Zambia. The products will be for distribution in Zambia, Angola, DRC and other countries in the region. A natural gas, NG, pipeline along the same servitude to supply gas to power combined minimum 1000MW CCGT plants in Zambia and Angola to supply electricity to Angola, Zambia and the SADC region via SAPP. Computer Assembly and Software Plant A local firm has responded to Government’s call to set up a Computer Assembly and Software Plant in Lusaka, Zambia. Some of the benefits of the computer assembly plant include: job creation, availability of affordable low cost computer equipment to citizens, as well as value addition through use of some local resources such as copper in the manufacture/assembly process. The project will equally have access to the 21 COMESA countries and the 19 SADC Member States hence reach a population of 600 million people. Various incentives are expected from the host Government. The promoters are equally looking at manufacturing other equipment required in the infrastructure and technology sector. Expected is a Factory employing the single unit assembly method produces about 40 to 60 computers a day (number may vary based on the complexity of the system being assembled). While the assembly line method yields approximately 70 computers a day in the average factory. One key objective is to produce one of the cheapest computers i.e. a US$100 laptop for sale to public schools and Government backed school projects. Wanted: EPC plus Finance Contractor/Partners.
